Our Hyundai Veracruz has a very odd braking issue that caused my fiancé to question the safety of the brakes. There were no codes that happened because of it, but she put pushed the pedal and it went to the floor for a few seconds. We found no leaks, and after shutting it off and waiting, I came and took it for a test drive and found that it was ok. But to be safe, I called around and ended up taking it to the gang at Hi-Tech. They diagnosed the issue and recommended that they perform an ABS Pump test, and that it might correct the issue and prevent it in the future. On Thursday December 18, 2025 I took my Mazda pickup truck to Hi Tech Auto in Pineville to have a headlight switch in the steering column replaced. A repairman, Michael, did the work, removing dashboard and steering column cover to access the switch and wiring. The work took over three hours to complete. As I drove home afterward in rush hour traffic, I noticed the cruise control on/off buttons on both sides of the steering wheel were scraped and cracked throughout. I touched one button and pieces fell out onto the floor. That evening, I found and ordered a new pair online. Next day I called High Tech Auto, explained what had happened and made an appointment to have the damage repaired the following Tuesday, December 23.
