Hill Country Retreat by Del Webb- 55+ Retirement Community

When we were looking to move to San Antonio, we were driving on Alamo Ranch Parkway and saw a sign for Del Webb Hill Country Retreat. We went in and met with Bruce the salesperson. He showed us several homes in the range we were looking for. When we found the house we wanted to buy, we immediately went back to our home in Huffman and put it up for sale. As soon as it sold, we came back to Hill Country Retreat and bought our new home. We are so happy we bought this Pulte home. The amenities are great, and the neighborhood is even better. Any repairs that we needed done on our home was addressed immediately. Overall a very pleasant experience. I thank the quality of craftsmanship was excellent. Matt, our construction manager, was 100% superb, as well as our sales rep, Bruce. Only negative rubs I have is with Pulte, which are: lack of electrical outlets in laundry room, toilet room, and pantry (ironing, night lights, Dyson sweeper or Roomba, for example), Martin Ray model’s placement of the dishwasher a cabinet away from sink. Design center rep misunderstood the importance of soft close drawers for me, (change of cabinet supplier just at that time didn’t help), so I’m out of luck with that. She also forgot to correct to change the quantity of medicine cabinets on the final change order to two instead of one, even though we were charged for two. For some reason that turned into monumental

Love the neighborhood and neighbors. Sales rep was awesome and when things need to be repaired they will come address issues. Issues with kitchen cabinets not installed well. Paid for upgraded appliances and can't use top oven because panel is the height of refrigerator top. Our neighbor has same cabinets but her oven cabinet is 7" lower. Tried to get help to have cabinet replaced or modified ( I even agreed to have it corrected and pay out if pocket) for 6 months to no avail no one is a dealer for cabinet company in our area. Long story short, may have to now have new cabinets installed in a 6 month old house because I have been told no one can match them. Heartbroken.

An absolute phenomenal journey from deciding to build a house in Hill Country Retreat by Del Webb to closing on our house last week. Everyone was so wonderful to work with, particularly Hannah and Nick. They kept us informed every step of the way and answered all our questions and made sure everything we asked for (and some things we forgot and didn't ask for) was provided. Could not be any happier in the entire journey, the interaction of the entire staff and the wonderful home we now live in!! Thanks to all!

We have lived for 12 months in the Del Webb Hill Country Retreat community here in San Antonio. We are absolutely satisfied with with the quality and workmanship of our home built by Pulte Builders. The community is very active and has activities available for everyone, regardless of your personal interests. We have met many of our neighbors and we have yet to meet anyone we truly didn't like. The quality of the people buying in this community is excellent. I highly recommend Hill Country Retreat to anyone looking for an active retirement community!
