Hilltop Tire Service

I don't leave many Google reviews, but Hilltop Tire on Hubbell Ave in Des Moines truly deserves recognition. I called them today about a slow leak in the inner dually of my RAM 3500 pickup, and they were happy for me to bring it right in (I live out of town). I arrived, and within minutes, my vehicle was being worked on. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and courteous. They quickly diagnosed the problem (leaking valve stem) and fixed it. They thoroughly explained everything, charged a reasonable price, and this level of service is hard to come by these days. Thank you, Jeff, Trevr, and the technicians!

I've used E.DSM Hilltop Tire in the past & will use them again. I just had them do an engine swap & drive shaft on my SUV & dropped Boo-Koo bucks with them. Needed a new alternator and had heard good things about this place. Well. Needed to get a new battery for the car, told us we could be there at 7a.m. to get the battery (needed to take the dead one to interstate since it was under warranty). Showed up at 7 to get the battery. One guy stood at the counter watching us wait at the door while he stood and ate, and another was vacuuming. Didn't get inside until 7:14a.m. got my battery. Called ahead, asked how long its gonna take when I get the new one in "oh like 20 minutes" so took my lunch break to bring the new battery back so that id have it done, as I needed my car. Got there, guy said again itd take 15-20 minutes. Waited 45 minutes. asked whats up, they hadnt even done anything yet! Wanted me to go and "pick it up tomorrow ". Told them n

My husband brought in his vintage bronco to get its tires rotated and balanced before a big road trip next week. When we got the vehicle back the driver's door was sagging and the front fender was bent in, suggesting someone put their body weight on the door as they opened it and hit the front fender. When we brought it back to the shop they shrugged it off and denied they did it. I don't recommend you bring your vintage or more fragile vehicles here.

Costumer service was nice. Very welcoming atmosphere however I brought my vehicle for a tire balancing and they were so busy that my car sat at the shop for over a day and they never serviced my vehicle. They gave me my keys and I ended up taking my car to Costco. I would’ve been fine if they had just told me upfront that I need to take it somewhere else but instead I was without a car for a day which wasn’t ideal. I’m sure they do great service, if you are able to get in.
