Hubie's Auto Repair

While driving from Denver the rear window of my daughters old Honda stuck open and we had to continue driving through the night because the car could not be secured. After being rejected by the Honda dealer because they did not have time (7:30 am) today to even look at the problem we found our way to Hubie who not only saved the day but did so promptly (20 minutes in & out), with a great attitude, for an amazing price, and he wished us well in our journey. I wish that more business owners cared for their clients, performed quality work, and were deserving of praise because they are good, hard working people. Thank you Hubie! We are now continuing on our journey.

Another great experience with my independent hometown mechanic! He diagnosed my car's problem and repaired it at a reasonable cost and sent me on my way! Thank you Hubies!

We have been taking our cars to Huby's auto shop for a decade of more . Reliable, dependable repairs for a very reasonable price. Huby is a race car enthusiast and loves what he does Like most West Virginians is a pleasant friendly guy and so is his family who work office etc for him. I write this review as an appreciation his wonderful, hassle free, honest services for our family.

On the way home from North Carolina my wife's Cayenne had some issues and we limped into Hubie's. They squeezed us in as they were closing and diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately it was a dealer only part, so they helped us arrange a tow. We had to tow quite a distance to the nearest Porsche dealer and they helped us find someone willing to do it and find a good price. After all this they charged us nothing, even after shop time for figuring it out. I saw an old review basically accusing them of taking advantage of a stranded motorist. I have to say my experience couldn't be farther from that. I greatly appreciated all they did for us.

BEWARE! On my way home to VA from Kentucky, on HiWay 64 near Ona, WV, July 2012, my old 94 Geo Metro blew a head gasket. The A-1 tow truck driver suggested Hubie's. I asked if he was related or had any interest in Hubie's and was told "no" but that Hubie was good, and reasonable. So we went to Hubie's and after explaining the car problem to him I drove a rental car home to Virginia. You may ponder as I do whether this driver had a stake in the repair. I was floored when Hubie's charge came to $587. I had gotten two estimates on the job at home for info and comparison. One from a larger garage, the other from a smaller one. Both came to approx. $400. Let me mention that I am a pretty good mechanic. In fact I rebuilt this engine 5 years ago. so I know the engine. Let me point ou
