Called around to find someone to work on my 1964 Scout axles. Everyone in town told me they just swap out axles. When I called Mr. Huff, he was very knowledgeable about axles and has a great reputation in the racing community.
My check engine light came on so I stopped by his shop, a young man came out and greeted me and he was going to scan my car when the owner loudly ordered him to stop because I hadn't paid. I tried to explain that I wasn't asking for a diagnosis or any service I just wanted know why the light was on. He said that before he would read the codes on my car I first had to pay $60! For sure never going back. AutoZone does that same thing for free and they give you a print out! What a ripoff!!
Quoted me $600-$700 to install ball joints. That’s not including the price of the joint. 4 wheel parts quoted me $130. Simple price gouging is all that is.
