Hughes Performance

Just picked up a transmission from Hughes Performance and couldn’t be happier. Fair price, no pressure, and the folks behind the counter were super helpful. It’s refreshing to deal with people who really know their stuff.

I had outstanding service with Hughes Performance and I cannot recommend them enough . From start to finish their team went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, showing an incredible amount of patience throughout the process. They bent over backwards to ensure I was satisfied and happy, which is something you don’t come across often. Would highly recommend to anyone

Not happy with this product. Converter does not even come close to performing the way it should. Called for help and they want 300 dollars to look at it and it’s brand new: I would rather just buy another converter somewhere else than pay them more money on a product that was used for 1 day

These guys took me right through of upgrading my 68 Chevelle from a 400 to a 4L80e. Everything fit properly using the existing cross member and the earlier case with the trans cooler lines up front where the existing ones were . The Speedo tail shaft let me hook up my existing Speedo in the car also. They also built the trans with a manual valve body eliminating the need for the computer . The lockout converter and overdrive made it cruise along at 1500 rpm down the highway at 60/70 mph with a 3/50 gear. And the first and second gears launch the car out of the hole just as good if not better then the 400 trans. Trans showed up 2 weeks early with everything I needed very well packaged. Update : I’m waiting to hear back from Hughes Performance on getting it shipped back to them . I’m not sure where to start .. I was told Hughes was the place to go .. they sold me a transmission that cost me almost 5k with converter .. 4l80e HD . 1000hp rated. Nothing but issues since it has been installed . I haven’t even driven it 10 miles yet . The converter hasn’t worked right since first drive . The shifts are so harsh u think rear end is falling out . The converter does not want to engage once warmed up . Leaving me stuck not being able to go into gear .. I have done all the steps that the tech at Hughes has recommended and after going back and fourth with them a different tech which apparently is also the one who runs the whole store told me to drop the pan or pull it and have the
