Hyattsville Vehicle Emissions Testing Station

Quick and easy, waited about 5 minutes in line and the testing took maybe 3. Great operations!

The lines were very short for the time of day, and the young gentleman that assisted me was very pleasant. The feature on the MVA website that lets you see the lines and wait time in real time was impressive.

This is the second time I have gone to this location after 4 years of skipping self-service stations so that people have something to do. I was shocked the service lady (60+) in lane 2 was so rude to the people event to ask simple question. This is a bit imbarishing situation.

Emissions Inspection at this location went well. Arrived at 3pm on a Monday. There was no other vehicles waiting and I was summoned to enter the station lane immediately. The male Inspector greeted me and was courteous throughout. Although my vehicle failed (no fault of the Inspection) I left there content rather being disturbed. That's because the Inspector remained professional and explained the Inspection report and my next steps, that include 4 months to get the problem fix and no reinspection cost upon my return!

Please be aware they dont take NFC or mobile payments so you cant use your phone to pay. But still my go to place for emissions
