SAVED ME $6500 FROM SKETCHY SOUTH BAY FORD SERVICE I recently took my 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid to Hybrid Republic after a frustrating experience at South Bay Ford nearby. My car was giving inverter over-temperature codes and shutting down while driving, especially in hot weather. I initially took it to South Bay Ford, where they told me the issue was the transmission—a $6500 repair. Their diagnosis felt off, and they weren’t transparent about how they reached that conclusion. I am always skeptical when I read reviews, I always think , I wonder if they were paid to say that, Or if they work there? But let me tell you I was not paid nor do I work here. This place is hands down the best! Ernie was extremely helpful! Never made me feel pressured or unsure like other mechanics have. He is very knowledgeable and honest. He made my old Prius run like NEW!
