I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled service time at Hyundai of Lincolnwood and selected the Ride Share option so I could be driven home. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked when the driver would arrive. The employee kept saying “another 15–20 minutes.” This happened three times. In total, I waited over 50 minutes before finally being taken home. Before I left, the employee promised twice that he would call me when my car was ready. Nobody ever called. When I called the service myself, they told me the car was already finished. The woman on the phone said the driver would pick me up in 30 minutes, but after waiting another hour and a half, nobody came. They have done an okay job serving my car, I have brought it there about 4 times. I’m problem with them is communication. They say “oh will call you” and never do. Ask if you need a ride home and don’t tell you that it’s actually going to take 45 mins to get a driver. Unless I am up their butts, calling, and double checking everything I’m pretty sure I would never get my car back.
Scheduled complimentary maintenance. Talked with two people before I got to the waiting room. Waited in the waiting room for two hours. Was then given a bill for almost $150 & told the car wasn't eligible for its next complimentary service until next year. Not once did anyone bother to come tell me BEFORE work started that it wasn't covered.
Extremely horrible experience this is not the first time. I dropped my car in the morning for scheduled appointment service and in the evening my car is still not serviced returned as it is. Now my entire day is ruined because of this I lost a day of my pay too. Now they say I have to schedule another appointment for later next week, not even as a gesture to help out and get it done first thing tomorrow morning. Moreover it’s a simple oil change service.
Dropped off my car around noon for my first complimentary maintenance and to check a coolant issue, the level had dropped below the minimum over the past few months. The car was bought less than a year ago, but the technician suggested a coolant flush, which had nothing to do with the issue. When I returned around 5 PM, I was told nothing had been done. No diagnosis, no maintenance. They just topped off the coolant and said they could still do the oil change if I waited another 45 minutes. Seeing other reviews, I guess disappointing service is just the norm here.
