I had an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience here. I came in for a routine safety inspection to renew my registration, something I’ve done in Maui for the past four years without issue. I was failed specifically because my front license plate was not yet installed. While I understand that requirement, I was actively installing the plate right there in front of him and simply asked for a moment to finish so we could proceed. Instead of allowing that, he told me to leave the property and come back later. When I tried to clarify and called afterward, I asked that the photo of my car reflect the plate once installed so the inspection could move forward. Island Automotive is very professional and I would recommend anyone to go there for auto repair or maintenance. Have had a variety of repairs and services. They are very polite quick and fair with pricing. They won't uncharted their services or try to sell you something you don't need just what is necessary or what you asked for. My whole family goes there now. I would like to thank them for the work they have done for me.
