My check engine light came on, and I took my truck to Iwen from a trusted recommendation. I was told there was a coolant leak, so I had the work done. $180.00. As I left the shop, the check engine light came back on, and the coolant temperature did not rise. When I called the shop and spoke with Rick, he said to bring it back in and they would take a look. I happened to be in Great Falls the next day and stopped into Nissan and had the check engine light diagnosed; there were three codes which I shared with Iwen. I brought the truck back to them and was told the repair would cost an additional $900.00 to repair. I went ahead and authorized the work, picked up my truck and was told the check engine light will stay on until I replace an emission sensor. At this point I asked why that

Likely the most honest mechanic shop I've been to. I called for a quick estimate on some issues I had been quoted for from another shop in town and received it within a few hours. I then scheduled an appointment to ensure the quoted work was necessary. I was able to drop it off and have everything checked free of charge. Low and behold, the work that I was told needed to be done was all unnecessary. A lot of places are willing to take advantage of people like me who lack mechanical knowledge. But Iwen was honest and saved me several thousand dollars. Scheduled some other work I've been holding off on with them and will likely only bring my vehicle here from now on. Would recommend them to anyone. It's hard to find this kind of honesty in today's world.

We took our car in to turn the rotors ONLY. We called to see if it was ready and they informed us that they replaced all the brake pads too! They told us they werent safe. I just wouldnt have driven it until I had the money to cover the expensive costs.We specifically asked to get a quote BEFORE doing any work at all. We checked it clearly on his form. Why have it if you arent goung to notify anyone. Then at the end of the day we get notified they did all the brake pads and its more than double the total without any consent from us. This is NOT how I do business!!! I can't NOT afford the work this week at all but they cearly could care less. Now I am in a serious bind because they cant ask me first. I've been going to Iwen for years with so many different vehicles. They should name one of their lifts after me. They are always straightforward, honest, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.
