Beware of bait and switch pricing. The first time we brought my Honda Pilot in for a service, we were quoted one price. A couple weeks later when we were ready to get the service done the price had increased and we were told that the labor charges were inaccurate in the first quote and the cost would be more. Ok- that happens and people make mistakes. However, when I needed to bring my car back in for another repair, my husband called and got a quote. Approximately one week later, we were ready to bring it in and just called to confirm the price and once again it had increased. We were told sorry we missed quoted the price and once again it increased. My husband discussed this with the shop owner that this happened twice now and they would not budge on the new price and just said sorry. N

Three words come to mind when I think of Japanese Car Care; Honest, personable, and reliable. My mom used to come here and now my husband and I come. We recommend this place, not because they are cheap (they use your car's original parts), but because they stand by their work. This business is family owned.

I had passed by to get my car checked for a weird sound and considering all these raving reviews on google, I thought they might be a good choice but I was unfortunately disappointed because as I walked in, I wasn’t really attended to in a kind way and I told them I had a feeling it had to do something with the transmission, they said they’d diagnose it and they spent an hour ‘looking at it’ just to tell me, yes it has something to do with the transmission and that was that. Got charged the flat rate of 150 which I wasn’t really surprised about but when I asked how much to get it fixed, they told me 7,000 which is a price you get when they don’t really want to help you. I call them a couple months later as my transmission eventually failed me and they suddenly give me a quote of 3,000. I w

The experience was far from customer-friendly, and I did not feel welcomed. It also seemed as though there was little interest in making a sale. I visited for an initial diagnosis and was essentially dismissed, being told that the process would take two hours and that there would be a charge for it. If there had been genuine interest in earning my business, the ideal approach would have been to complete the diagnosis, collect the fee, and allow me the choice of whether to proceed with the repair. Regardless of my decision to leave the car or not, the shop could have earned revenue and left a positive impression. It’s disappointing to encounter this type of service from an establishment that has been part of the community for so many years and reputable.
