I have been using JL Automotive for over a year and their work has been excellent, we have taken 3 vehicles there and I have another there now. The work is Great and they charge a very fair rate. My family will keep on being a customer for many years.

Let me start off by saying I rarely post reviews, but this is just terrible. Had ball joints (kind of) pressed in by these guys. First they said itd be ready 4 at the latest 5/12 and it shouldn't be a problem. Called around 4 and they said itd be the next morning and that it's "a big job." Finally got them around on 5/13. They charged $150 (my bad for not asking prior, their bad for the price and service) to press in two ball joints and they trashed the snap ring seat on both and one isnt close to flushly mounted, so snap ring wont fit around either. I bought these joints new and they were in pristine shape prior. So 150 bucks and half a day wait to very poorly press in ball joints on a control arm that was already off the car.

Fuel pump and some other work was done but after 2 months the fuel supply line came disconnected. Most likely due to faulty installation as the clip was missing. Owner is combative and defensive. Its okay to make mistakes but one should stand by them. Was defensive about why I had the vehicle towed to a different shop. The reason was it was midnight on a Saturday 2 and a half hours away from Huntsville and the impression I get from the defensiveness is that if I would of had it towed here I would have been told the line wasn't covered under the labor warranty and I would have been charged for that and a 2 and a half hour tow plus the 2 and a half hours it took to even get to the car.
