Joe Machens Ford Service Department

Super friendly, got my small issues in and fixed extremely fast even though they seemed swamped with others. Can't stress enough how friendly and helpful everybody is. Yeah, they'll try to upsell tires but it's friendly, not pushy or annoying like other places I've been. Great staff. That said, my oil level warning got reset after they fixed a separate issue. None of my other dashboard settings were reset/changed. I'm really hoping this was a software fluke because every other aspect was wonderful.

I had a very frustrating experience with Joe Machens Ford’s service department. They kept my truck for three full days and didn’t perform any actual repairs. During that time, they never offered a loaner vehicle or any kind of accommodation, which made things even more inconvenient. What really bothered me was that they came back with an estimate of around $8,000 in repairs. On top of that, they said none of the parts needed for their recommended fixes were in stock and wouldn’t be available for more than 90 days. So after several days without my vehicle, I was left with no work done, a huge estimate, and no clear answers, plus $100 in Uber fees out of pocket. I want to start by saying my experience with the sales side at Machens Ford has been great — they’ve always been helpful and professional. Unfortunately, the service department is a different story. I scheduled an appointment to have my F-150’s rough idle looked at and made it clear that I’d be waiting while the work was done. Everything seemed fine when I booked — no one mentioned that the appointment wasn’t an actual service slot. When I arrived, I was told the appointment was only to drop off the truck and that it could take a few days to a week before anyone even looked at it. They also told me there were no loaners and no rental allowance, even though the vehicle is still under warranty. I understand that shops get busy — that’s not the issue. I had a scheduled appointment to have a repair done a day after the devastating hacker attack. I didn’t know it had happened and I pull up and they explained the problem and what work they could do and couldn’t do at that point. They completed the work they could quickly and we rescheduled the other work. The second trip was great as well! The service tech was very patient and communicated well what would be done and when it would be completed. During a stressful time they were even more helpful and kind. That means a lot! Thanks!

Mike “With the funny last name” M, and the rest of the service employees have gone above and beyond for me all weekend. I brought my bronco in for some recall work, the work wasn’t finished same day due to an issue out of their control but instead of leaving me stranded Mike stayed after hours to help me and got me into a loner vehicle today while they finished my repairs. Mike even took my vehicle down to the body shop to see what could be done about an unrelated issue. I’m sure all the employees were very busy but they all managed to make me feel comfortable and welcome. I’m going to end this now because I could go on for days about how amazing these guys are.
