I grew up with this garage but had my 1st experience bringing my car in for some work. I initially got annoyed because when I picked up my car it seemed like something else was wrong with a different part of the car. I was mad but after a YouTube video later I fixed it and it wasn't related to the job they had done. Bottom line....They are good guys, and do good work but they just seem to have a tremendous amount of work and maybe need more help. But overall very solid olace.

Expensive mechanic. He charged more than he told me it would be at the outset. He also worked extremely slowly. I stayed in the waiting area so I could see. I think he was competent but I will not be going back there.

I didn't know what to expect from the new owners since it changed hands a few years ago but I never went there anyway in the past so I figured it's close, let me give it a try. I used to go for years to the dealership maintenance department, which is an all-day ordeal since it was not close and an absolute rip-off. The price skyrocketed the last time I went and my car is not new. So I wanted to find one that's good, honest and closer. I'm so glad I tried Walson's. They are really good, quick, fair, and reasonable. I now will get all my service there. Plus, they are nice too, and have a great looking waiting room. I highly recommend you give them a try.

All mechanics and dealers are crooks. This shop is the only one in the neighborhood I trust. I am confident they will diagnose my issue properly and fix it the right way so I don't have to go back twice like some other shops in town I've used. However he is very pricey. Even an oil change is over priced. I still use him though because he's the only one in town I am confident won't screw me over with repairs I don't need. Just wish his prices were more down to earth. You go out in long island there are shops which are fair pricing and are as reliable. He takes advantage of the five towns.

Personally don’t think John himself is a bad guy, talks too much, charges too much, possibly a little careless with small things but he seems to be able to get any part any tire you need. Definitely takes advantage of the area we live in by upcharging everything by an astronomical amount. He will talk you to death and I don’t know if he’s trying to distract you or what but I paid way too much here for something I could’ve gotten done at Mavis for 50% cheaper and they aren’t much further away. Not really worth the money spent, good for a quick/conveniently placed fix since I live right across the street. Wouldn’t recommend, trying to find out if they stole/“mistakenly forgot to reinstall” the lug nuts on a car I brought there within the last 6 months.
