Customer Reviews
I had an absolutely outstanding experience at the Kearny Mesa Hyundai Service Department. Everything went smoother, easier, and faster than I could have ever imagined! A very special thanks and big kudos to my service adviser Andrea. It was truly a pleasure meeting her. She provided exceptional customer service from start to finish—professional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure I had the best experience possible. She explained everything clearly, kept me updated, and made the entire process effortless. Thanks to Andrea Chavarria and the whole team, my visit exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend Kearny Mesa Hyundai Service Department, and especially Andrea, for anyone looking for top-tier service done right!
Had to get my key and fob replaced because a valet company lost mine, and not only was the cost almost $300 but it didn’t include programming. TWO technicians failed to mention this both when I purchased the key and when I picked it up, so now I have to chase down the other company for the $100 programming fee which should have been included or at least MENTIONED when I bought and picked up the key (which took weeks to get, by the way). And when I asked someone behind a desk about why the key wasn’t programmed and why nobody told me he said that I should have known better and literally “you’re the first person I’ve talked to who didn’t know that it doesn’t come with it” as if I get key fobs replaced every day and know how it works. A quick “hey will you need the key programmed?” would have
I have been getting calls from Hyundai for recall. The EV charging software needs to be updated. When I showed up for th3 appointment I was told the o lone scheduling system isn't working. I booked a new appointment which was 1,5 month out and asked for a loner car as I have no other way to get to work. I was told ita first come first serve and if you are early you should get it. I asked how long will it take and I was told by the end of the day. Today I was at my appointment at 8 am. The service representative tells me it; - we have low staff sp it will take two days - we don't have any loner car because the one they have are reserved. I feel that they put some customers first and other are not important. New appointments are 3 months out now. I was told call other hyundai dealers. The
Horrible place. Scheduled an appointment on the phone for 10:15. I show up 5 minutes early and stand for 20 minutes with no one helping me. Then someone finally helps me and proceeds to tell me diagnostics are backed up and I would have to leave my car with them for 10-15 business days just to figure out what is wrong with it. Then they would review my warranty and recommend fixes from there. First of all it’s a Friday and fro them to expect me to leave my care there for up to 3 1/2 weeks is insane. Second of all, why was I not told this information when I scheduled my appointment over the phone? Absolutely horrible communication. I would have never scheduled it to begin with. Terrible customer service. I left work for literally nothing.
Who ever heard of a dealership saying you have to make separate appointments for each repair? Then on top of that, they tell you that they cannot even diagnose your car for several days but you MUST leave your car there in order to be inline. I’m so angry right now and about $400 deep in a car rental with no update calls yet since dropping car off Friday. Oh and they don’t do loaner cars. Update- we called yesterday and after having my car for 6 days, no technician has even been assigned to my car yet! in 2019, we had excellent service here. What happened to this location since then?
