Kent's Service Center & Towing

Ridiculous tow price for a two mile trip.... my recommendation DON'T DO IT!!! If you must have work done there... get it in writing up front.. but again....DON'T!!! Update... Not the price quoted over the phone. Hence the reason I said to get it in writing.

I’ve been to Kent’s Service twice now… both times I was able to get work done on my car quickly and promptly for reasonable prices. They had me on my way with new tires and an oil change so fast! And they are not pushy on trying to get me to do unnecessary repairs or parts. This will be my go-to place as long as I am in Stevens Point. I highly recommend them!

I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience with Kent’s Service Center & Towing was so outrageous that people deserve a warning. The billing practices alone are enough to make your blood boil. Jobs that should cost a fraction of what they charge end up ballooning into **absurd, sky-high bills** that make no logical sense. It honestly feels like they just throw numbers on an invoice and expect you to shut up and pay it. Kent's Towing towed our deisel truck and 30 foot trailer, and 2 dogs! After towing our truck, they came back for another car. We approached them and they confirmed they knew dogs were in the truck. Can a vehicle be towed legally with dogs in there?! NO, Wi law 951.095 says you cannot tow a vehicle with animals inside. Whitnesses that said they could hear the dogs barking while Kent's Towing was preparing to tow the vehicle. We asked Kent's Towing to show us signs that said we couldn't park where we did. They just drove away with the other car. When we went to get our vehicle back, we asked for a detailed bill. They wouldn't provide one. There have been a lot complaints about this company. I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this place. Making two teenage girls wait in the rain and forcing one to walk by herself at night is completely unacceptable. This kind of treatment is not only unprofessional but also dangerous. To make matters worse, the staff yelled at them because they were disputing the cost of the tow, which was an outrageous $320. This is an exorbitant amount, especially considering the circumstances. I understand that businesses need to make a profit, but taking advantage of young adults in this manner is just wrong. The lack of empathy and basic customer service skills displayed by the staff is appalling.
