I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this auto repair shop. I brought my vehicle in hoping to at least have someone take a look at the issue, but they refused to inspect it or offer any real assistance. There was no effort made to understand the problem or provide guidance. The lack of professionalism and concern was very discouraging. As a customer, you expect basic courtesy and willingness to help, and I did not receive that here. I left feeling dismissed and disrespected. I would not recommend this shop based on how I was treated.

I’ve taken my car to Kim’s auto service many times, so far they’ve done a good job. This time I brought the car in for brake replacement and alignment. The only minor issue was that it took a little longer than estimated (they did let me know, but I had to wait a few extra hours). The price was also a bit higher than I expected, though still reasonable given the service. Overall, I recommend Kim’s Auto Service & Repair to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic in the area.

I came here for my first repair, choosing them for convenience and good ratings despite higher pricing than my usual mechanic in OC. Two weeks later, I needed a related follow-up repair and they didn't show enough accountability and integrity for me to trust them with my car again.. When I asked why this follow up repair wasn't caught the first time I came, they claimed my first service was "a month ago" when it had only been exactly two weeks.. A reputable shop would either have flagged it in my initial visit, or at minimum, offered some goodwill pricing for a return customer dealing with a related problem so soon after. Instead, I got the runaround about the basic facts... So if you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic to bring your car to regularly, I'd go looking elsewhere.

Yesterday, 9/17/25, Kim’s Auto Service and Repair replaced my engine air filter, full coolant system rehose and drive belt replacement on my 2016 Subaru Outback. It was a big job, taking 8 hours. Paul, the owner, answered all my questions to my satisfaction and gave me a detailed estimate. The shop was recommended to me by my friends. As an extra bonus Kim’s had Lift take me home. I was very well taken care of as well as my car(most important). The price was 1/2 of the price the dealer quoted to me. I will return to Kim’s for future repairs. I highly recommend them. This is a reliable and honest repair shop. They're hard to find sometimes. I've had many experiences with dishonest auto repair shops and so working with Paul and his family at this family-owned auto repair shop has been fantastic. Highly recommended.
