My grandma went here in 2020, worst mistake. She'd never fallen, but supposedly fell and had a huge bruise on her face and both sides of her body, which didn't add up to a single fall. No one informed us she had pneumonia, it slipped when we called to check on her about her "fall" so we found out after a week of them discovering it. We took clothes when she initially arrived, withing 15-30 minutes of her getting there and my mom was telling her some about my grandma, the staff argued and said she KNOWS what she can and cannot do, but we questioned how she knew, and realized that she was arguing with family about the wrong patient. Most of the staff clearly didn't care. Hopefully things have changed since then!

My grandmother went to this facility due to behavioral issues related to dementia, and needing more care than we could provide at home anymore. She was transferred here by University hospital via ambulance on a Wednesday, we went to the facility (not being informed of visiting restrictions) and a member of the staff argued with my mother about my grandmother, then discovered she wasnt even 'thinking' of the right patient, and assumed we were there for someone else. We returned and visited Thursday, discovered that her purse was lost. Kingdom firmly denied that they did NOT have the purse, and it was on none of their logs as received. Very disappointed in actions of staff. Mother had been admitted there from MU hospital to help adjust medications for severe depression and anxiety. Having DPOA, I made sure to communicated with the staff that with the complications of COPD, she has severe panic attacks and until meds are regulated, she is unable to sit up or do any moving without panicking and having difficulty breathing. They stated that is not good for someone that is depressed, but I stated that even though it is mental - she physically can not. It causes her to have difficulty breathing and leds to problems with her COPD. Went to meet her after transferring her - and they refused to let me see her, stating it wasn’t visiting hours. Why aren’t there grab bars located in the individual room restrooms? Considering that this is a geriatric unit, I would think that it would be user friendly. There is very little interaction with patients or things to keep them from becoming bored. Mostly they sit in the open room staring at the walls waiting for the next meal. The patients have very limited visitation which can cause further confusion by being away from their familiar love ones. This can also be bad for those who live far away to visit during these limited times. This establishment is an embarrassment to put our elderly in that need some extra help.

I would not recommend this place to no one and I give them a 0 rating. This place has been holding my mother against her will and abusing her. Good luck and God bless
