Kirkman's Mobile Auto Service

I’ve had the pleasure of having service completed on two of my vehicles by Tim. Hands down the most honest, humble, and straight-shooting mechanic I’ve had for mobile service. If he doesn’t know something, he doesn’t lie, figures it out. Takes care of the vehicles like they’re his own. Knows his craft. By far the best mobile mechanic in Yancey, Mitchell, and Avery county. I’d go as far to say most trustworthy mobile mechanic in western North Carolina. The mobile convenience has been proven as worth the price as well. Like most folks, I hate waiting in dealership service centers, always take forever and try to sell me a new car. Working all day, it was nice to have my car taken care of while I handled my work. I plan on having him handle my auto and motorcycle maintenance from here on out.

I hired a mobile mechanic for the first time and had a great experience with Kirkman’s Mobile Auto Service. After Hurricane Helene, a lot of mobile mechanics popped up in the area, so I was a little hesitant at first. I did my homework, read plenty of reviews, and decided to go with him, and I’m glad I did. Tim Kirkman showed up right on time and worked steadily until the job was completely finished. My old truck is now starting like a champ. On top of that, Tim was just a pleasure to be around — friendly, positive, and easygoing. Exactly the kind of person you want working on your vehicle. Thanks again, Tim!

had an amazing experience with Kirkman’s mobile brake and oil change service! From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and incredibly convenient. They showed up right on time, got straight to work, and completed both my brake service and oil change faster than I expected — without cutting any corners. The professionalism really stood out. They were knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and made sure I was comfortable with the work being done. It’s hard to find honest, reliable service these days, but this team definitely delivers. If you’re looking for quality work, great communication, and the convenience of having it done at your home or office, I highly recommend them. I’ll absolutely be using their services again!

Kirkmans is awesome! On time and services are done in a timely manner, every time. Very reliable. When Tim says he will be there he is there. If you want someone to be honest and thorough Tim is your guy! Yancey county is very lucky to have Kirkmans services in town. Need breaks, oil changes, light maintenance and small engine repairs... basically any and everything! Give them a call.

He is always quick to respond if you have questions or need a service on your car. He serviced my Subaru and my Honda several times and came to my job to do so (which was super convenient!) He also helped me by looking over the car I have now and making sure it was mechanically sound before I bought it which give me peace of mind as a lady making a vehicle purchase. He is very straight forward and transparent, he’s knowledgeable and flexible with scheduling as well as being very affordable compared to most shops locally. You can’t get much better than a great, affordable, & dependable mechanic, especially when he makes house/work calls!! Definitely recommend him every time I get the chance.
