I can’t say enough good things about the Kost Tire location in Taylor. I can’t say the same about other locations since I haven’t used them. George runs the shop in Taylor and he’s terrific! He’s extremely fair. Unlike other shops, they aren’t going out of their way to screw you. They give you reasonable estimates of how much time you have left with things like tires and brakes. When it comes time to do the work, they do top notch work at a fair price. I was using a different shop but stopped when a simple oil change went horribly awry. I popped my hood one day and saw oil leaking from around my oil filter. The team at Taylor Kost Tire explained they were using extremely cheap oil filters and didn’t fit them properly. That could have lead to running out of oil and a seized engine

Kost was a blessing in disguise. On September 25, 2025U was on my way to Upstate NewYork for a memorial service for my aunt. It was very foggy and down pouring rain. I hit a patch of water, hit the median and popped my front tire and a blemish in my back driver’s side tire. Thanks to the tow trucks on I-476. Took me to KOST tire. They had to go get tires for me. They made my wait enjoyable with coffee and the cleanest repair shop that I’ve ever been in. The staff was friendly ,kind and understanding. Got me on my way as quick as possible. Thank you!!!!

This shop is THE BEST! I came here with a tie repair on a busy Monday and they were able to squeeze me in quickly. The staff is kind and courteous and the location is incredible clean and comfy. Thank you!!

the service was great. i would like to note that next time, just ask me where my wheel lock key is before going through my entire car looking for it. i take accountability for not making sure it was readily accessible to the tech prior to my appointment but i was 10-15ft away in the lobby. there was no need to rummage through all of my stuff trying to find it. yes, all the stuff was put back but asking would have saved everyone time and frustration.
