My daughter's significant other was in a pretty bad accident that almost totalled her car. A friend of mine who does auto body wanted to tear the car apart and check it over and potentially fix it. After the insurance company released the car (accident was her fault and with limited coverage, she gets nothing for her damaged car), we went there to pick it up. My buddy brought his car hauler and we arrived about the same time to get the car. Now, the initial towing was $250. Yeah, $250. The additional days of storage, even though they were never asked where to tow it, wracked up $70 more. The policy is apparently "cash only" for anything under $500, which seems a bit shifty to us.
