Les Schwab Tire Center

Les Schwab is a constant barrage of upselling and lying every time I go there, at any location. I feel bad for the older generation that trusts them implicitly because they are nice and place seemingly kind women up at the front desk. Most recent experience: I went in for the free brake check. My brakes were 2-4mm thin, which I expected. What I didn't expect was them to lie to my face saying a few erroneous things: 1) "We need to replace the calipers and rotors". NO one replaces calipers unless there is a problem with them. I verified this online, with AI, with another mechanic, and with the Kia dealership themselves!!! We also live in an area where they are unlikely to rust and get bad. The mechanic that did my brakes said nothing was wrong with them. Les Schwab also gave no reasoning f

I recently purchased tires for my Audi and blew 2 of them out from a hazard on the freeway. They had my replacements ready when I came in. The wait was less than an hour and I wasn't charged to replace them. I'll always go to Les Schwab for my tires and alignments. They stand behind everything they do. Did a walk in for service so I've been able to watch the whole team at work for a minute. All professional and courteous and I even watched someone behind the counter do the opposite of an upsell, letting someone know their current tires were fine and already snow rated, when he came in set to purchase. Oh and service for my no-appointment walk-in was also well done and reasonably priced, with options clearly presented. 👍

I went to another place to get my tires at a "Discount". I noticed something didn't feel quite right but didn't think much of it. After 6 months I started to get some vibration. I took it to Les Schwab and while performing the balancing then alignment the Tech noticed that my directional tires had all been mounted on the rims BACKWARDS at that other place! He corrected their error without hesitation and free of charge. My car is now driving and performing as it should. No longer feeling squirrely on turns and no more vibration. The lesson here for me was, go to Les Schwab, with their better trained techs, and get it done right the first time.
