Loveland's A-OK Transmission

Was on a road trip passing through Springfield and my truck started to make noises and signs of transmission issues. Took it to a mechanic who recommended I take it to Loveland's. They took my truck in, gave me a very reasonable estimate for the work, and also gave me a ride back to my hotel. They did the work faster than I expected. They did an awesome job because all the noises while shifting gears are gone, and the truck runs great. And what impressed me even more was that the final price was like 30 dollars LESS than what his original estimate was. That's how I know I'm dealing with someone who is honest. You guys are the real deal and I'm glad someone recommended you to me. Springfield is lucky to have mechanics like these guys.

Can't say enough about the quality service Loveland's provides. Took them a 1959 Willys Jeep for a clutch diagnosis/replacement after searching for some time in the area to find anyone willing and able to tackle this vintage and model (FC150). They renewed the entire drive train as well as reconditioned the starter which I hadn't even noticed was well worn. Thanks so much, John and crew. It works like a new one.

I recently took my GMC Sierra to my auto shop for some routine maintenance and asked them to troubleshoot what I thought was a transmission issue. They told me my torque convertor was going bad and that due to the age and high mileage on my transmission I would need to replace the convertor and transmission for between $6-$7k. I decided to seek a second opinion and quote from a transmission shop so I stopped in at Loveland's. After describing the issue to the owner he offered to take if for a test drive right then. After about 15 minutes he came back and said he didn't think it was the transmission, but rather the Active Fuel Management system. Make sure you properly communicate to them what work should be done and ONLY done. My bill came out about $600 more than the estimate and there was some unauthorized extra work performed. The communication can definitely be improved. I had left specific instructions to call me after tear down to inform me of what they found. No calls. I had to call them after a week, and found out the transmission was almost ready to re-install. They were not very forth coming with what they found. I had to pull every answer out of them. I believe that you will have to be very firm with them on what to do and what not to do. If they just would have called me to let me know some issues they had, I could have the opportunity to decline the work or done something different that wouldn't have coat me 30% over
