They replaced my wife's motor with a refurbished motor with a 3 year/36k mile warranty. Over the next year and a half, the vehicle has only been driven 17k miles. We have had multiple documented reports of the engine leaking motor oil from the rear main seal whenever we took her truck in for the required regular preventative maintenance service at another shop. She has brought the shop back into his shop a total of 5 times now and only once did he actually attempt to fix the vehicle and changed the oil pan gasket. Now there is a huge oil puddle in my driveway from how bad this thing is leaking and it is not able to be driven safely and without the risk of causing internal damage to the engine from poor lubrication and causing it to overheat and seize up. I was new to the shop, and wanted to get a needed oil change and a basic overall inspection for an upcoming trip...pretty straightforward and a good way for me to see how the shop runs. The inspection reveal front brakes were about a 3/10 pad remaining, which didn't surprise me. Lynn gave a quote and said a front end brake job could be done this day, about $360 all in (P&L). That's better than average quotes so I agreed...do it. Picked the car up that afternoon, brakes and oil change. The bill made me look into Labor, parts, shop supplies, tax, and credit card service charge for each service. The oil change alone was $94.00 P&L, before tax. Wow. Lynn and Wendy are the best! They have amazing customer service and the turn-around time is super quick even with how full they always are. Lynn is our family mechanic. He is honest, reliable, and is great with his work. He has saved us lots of money on things we thought needed to be fixed, but ended up being something else. Highly recommend his shop.
