Maaco Auto Body Shop & Painting

This is my second car that Jay (Maaco Snellville) painted for me and my 2007 Honda Accord looks truly amazing. The final price was very reasonable! Other body shops quoted me a minimum of $5k and Jay’s quoted price was less than $2k. Jay estimated a week to complete the paint job, but he finished a day early. Thank again Jay!!

This was the worst experience with a paint shop I’ve ever had in my life. I asked them to paint some aftermarket fender flares for my Bronco and it wasn’t even close to matching. I brought it up to the person in charge and he had the nerve to say “it was never going to match”. So why paint something a customer wants to match if you are not going to make it match?! Needless to say I wasted $740. And the quote he gave me in the beginning was $500 but that quickly changed after I came to pick up the parts. Was denied any sort of compensation. Offered to paint panels to match but I politely declined.

Very happy!! I repainted my 2006 Toyota in lieu of buying a brand new car. It was rusting on the roof and had wear on the bumper and hood, what you’d expect for a well maintained but older vehicle. Even so, “she’s” good under the hood so the choice to take care of the paint was my best option. Maaco Snellville did a fantastic job. I got my quote, talked through my budget and the service I wanted, then dropped it off. It took a little over a week which is what I anticipated. The only thing I would have liked that didn’t happen was to receive a courtesy call about progress. I wasn’t exactly sure when I’d need to pick up so I called. Jay’s group did a very nice job with repainting my car. It wasn’t quite the color I expected but the quality of the work was very good. Some missed clean up things (tape, mirror wasn’t put back correctly). The job took much longer than expected which meant extra rental car fees. Would use them again.

• Fact: The bill at the time of car-pickup after the car paint job was done was hundreds of dollars higher than the written amount at drop-off. • Fact: The man at Maaco was instructed to notify of any price increases before car-pickup, and he did not. • Fact: At car pickup, the man at Maaco claimed to have performed dent-fix work, and falsely stated that I had requested the dent-fix work. He also said he did not work for free (referring to his claimed dent-fix work that I never instructed him to perform). • Fact: After dropping the car off and not hearing anything in over 2 weeks (I had expected the car to be ready by then), I called a few times.
