Maaco Auto Body Shop & Painting

Let start off with paint on the inside of my car I guess the painter had it on their hands and touch my inside pillar. Than when they said my car was ready it was the completely wrong color like this ashy blue nowhere near green. They did repaint it the right color but not discount of any kind was given for this mistake after Bill was saying "you would want to take as it is would you?" So an additional 2 weeks with out my car. Then finding all these "minor imperfections" since there was less than 50 of them they would not do anything. (Photos show the worst ones many smaller ones) now today I look under my back window (didnt look at the time of pickup was running late for work) and now I see it wasnt even painted. I was thoroughly disappointed in the overall experience I had with this particular Marco location… My son had 2 estimates done, the same day, before the car came up & they chose to do the more “expensive” one. It was supposed to be a front end repair. I didn’t find out until I popped up, as a nosey dad, & checked on the progress. That’s when I found the WHOLE car stripped of paint. But okay, we’re here now so let’s get it done. I checked back in 2wks later & found the car nearly assembled & in the ready for paint stage. Cool, I was told about another week & it’ll be ready to go. That turned into 2 more weeks. We went from ready for paint to waiting(nearly 3 days)to get the bumper put on. The manager Bill was a genuinely good guy who strive to be helpful. Unfortunately, the paint crew were not adept at their job. Parts of the paint have a wavy texture, some parts (like the underside of the door handles) were rough, and there were pin prick spots. My main goal was to prevent rusting and was disappointed that the $2300 price tag did not include the door well where I found a rust spot. That’s apparently considered the interior and they only paint the exterior- I wish this had been explained to me. I was also disappointed/surprised that I was not offered an inspection of the paint job before signing the papers and paying for it. Bill and the team were great. This was a vintage auto body refresh of a 57 year old Ford Mustang that was media blasted to bare steel. Bill's team carefully assessed what needed to be done and kept me informed through each phase of the process.
