Justin and team did a great job on my BMW X5. Highly recommend this place. I’m only bringing my cars here from now on. One of few real hand wash / detail shops around.

It is December 13, 2024. I had just returned home from being evacuated for three days because of the Franklin Fire in Malibu. My truck had kept me safe while I was waiting to be evacuated so I wanted to ensure it had a proper wash. I had gone to Malibu Car Wash before several times and have always had great service. Today, they charged me $345 for a clean as opposed to the $150 or so for a clean I had been used to in the past. I had very little energy to argue with them although I protested I had not agreed to a $345 wash. Nothing like a local business taking advantage of a crisis. Will never use them again. Justin's team did a beautiful job on the car however quoted me $65, and charged $325. At booking, he promised to give me a "good deal" but grazed over me when I arrived for my appointment to prioritize his wealthy landlord and wife (I get it, but still take time with your paying customers who pay the rent) but failed to give me a full estimate of what would be charged. When I returned, his teammate requested $325 but wasn't empowered to make a change. I spoke with Justin who told me what a wonderful job they did, which wasn't the point; he didn't set my expectations. I finally was able to negotiate the price down. If you need a car wash and are around Malibu ,Malibu car wash & Detail is the place I would go with no hesitation. And if you want a detail you’ve never had before , you come here! I would recommend any type of wash but if you want to go big you do the full detail. The workers are great and go above and beyond. Double checking everything from the outside of the car (any marks/chips smudges) , the rims tires , making sure the inside is superbly clean and impeccable. Literally your car will look and smell brand new. And if you do happen to get the detail , they go in depth with their infamous hand clay detail (when it’s finished your car will be so soft ,smooth and shine like never before!) I’ve been here plenty of times and it’s always the same great results. 10 out of 5! Drop off is easy.
