Mavis Tires & Brakes

Talk about a first impression. These are good people. About 2 months ago I had replaced all 4 breaks on my car by myself, and until yesterday I was having issues with the breaks still squeaking and grinding. I asked if they would take a look just help me diagnose my issue. I requested that if they could just inform me the issue and not to do any work on the car (I don't exactly have a lot of money and it's cheaper if I fix it myself). I left the car with them and about 45 minutes later got a phone call. They told me they inspected the breaks and saw nothing was wrong with them. They went ahead and put a lubricant on the break hardware and sure enough the squeaking had stopped. I expected to pay for at least their hourly rate, but they charged me absolutely nothing. Darien and his staff went above and beyond for my family and I, on a Saturday of all days. An hour before closing time. My family and I had planned a trip to DeSoto Motorsports Park to watch the derby cars race this past Saturday evening, when I found a flat tire on the car with some considerable wear. A quick call to Darien at Mavis to confirm he could fit us in at the very last second and had 2 new tires in stock, we aired up the flat tire and headed that way. Upon arriving, I informed Darien of the excess wear on said old tire, and he told us that they'd check out all of the suspension and chassis parts to make sure it was safe and sound for my girlfriend and our 2 kids to be driving around in. Turns out, we needed an alignment! Which they also do! *I also feel like it's worth mention

Darien Gunel was very professional and a great guy to deal with. I had a flat tire and came in and he got me taken care of with ease. Welcomed me and my dog in to wait and carried a great conversation. This is my second experience with this fella and both have been great. $25 to fix my valve stem leak as well!

I came to Mavis because my brakes were in pretty bad shape. I spoke to Darien who is the mechanic there and he was very nice, helpful, and considerate throughout the whole process. My brakes were good to go again and my car was back on the road as quickly as possible. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you are having brake issues.

Mrs. Netta helped me out. I just bought new tires a couple weeks ago and picked up a nail somewhere. They got it repaired so I could get back on the road. Nice group of people. Thank you.
