High integrity mobile mechanic, did a prepurchase inspection for me on a 2014 Mercedes GL450 with a V8 twin turbo. I live 400 miles away from the dealer and just want to buy the car and get it shipped. Gotta have a trustworthy inspector I talked to three different mobile mechanics around San Bernadino -- chose Ron because I could tell he is a straight shooter he clearly loves his German engines. He performed a full inspection for me at the dealership -- checked mileage on the body modules, scanned codes, took it for a test drive, crawled it and insisted on putting it up on a lift. When the dealer gave me a verbal "all clear" over the phone Ron returned to the dealership to represent me and sort out significant issues that were not "all clear". I brought my 2013 BMW 135i to MB Motorworks after the drive belt shredded, and I'm incredibly impressed with their work. This wasn't a simple fix. As they tore down the N55 motor, they found complex issues from previous work. The power steering pump had damaged threads and missing bolts. The team at Mission Bell had the expertise to re-chase the threads and properly secure the pump, saving me from a much bigger headache. During the repair, they also found my aftermarket CSF Radiator was leaking from the side tank, I supplied them with another radiator, and they handled the full R&I (removal and installation) without any issues, repairing a leaking drain plug in the process.
