Medford DEQ Test Station

Of all the State business I have had to accomplish in the last two years, these folks have been the most organized, knowledgeable and pleasant folks I have had to deal with. All the folks I have dealt with have been pleasant and helpful and a refreshing change of pace in an increasingly rude and hostile business environment. Thanks guys, you rock!

Having moved into the area, I was really impressed with the wait time here. I usually hear that Tuesdays and Thursdays are the faster days with many DEQ locations (such as the Hillsboro OR location), and my trip on a Tuesday at noon was about a 10 minute trip with just one other person in front of me, and two behind. Combined with a vehicle registration, the total was around $130 for the test and tags for the 2025 year. One thing to note if you recently moved and changed your address with the DMV: the DMV may place a temporary hold on your vehicle. While you can complete your testing at a new location, you may have to jump to the online DMV2U site (after your DEQ test) to complete your vehicle registration. The DMV will then send your tags to you in the mail, at the new mailing address

Drove right in to a bay and immediately greeted by staff! Car plugged into computer and smog assesment completed in 15 minutes. Swiped debit card and got new stickers and covered for 2 more years!

It is somewhat confusing to find. Once there it is quick and easy. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

The attendants were great my cars outcome not so great.
