$917 for an alternator!!! I had stopped going to this place after outrageous price gouging a few years ago on a set of rotors and tires installed. Thought I’d give it another shot hoping to support a local shop that I’d been taking 3 cars to over the last ten years. I called ahead and received an email quote for an alternator replacement - quote was reasonable and labor was inline with what I’d researched. I noted the cheap Chinesium (TotalPro) overpriced parts and elected to source my own - had an alternator replaced there 5yrs ago. Then the bill came - not even in the same ballpark. I showed the owner the quote and to no surprise he became incredibly angry and borderline belligerent telling me “he didn’t care about any emails.” So then I called around to another shop next door with

If you click on my profile, you will see I have never left a bad review. It pains me to say Medley’s Auto Care will be my first, especially because it’s a local business. Called me to tell me I needed a battery replaced (after changing it a year ago) I rejected it, and an hour after picking up my car, ALL of my lights were on. Took it to AutoZone, and they said my battery was completely fine. Had to get a second mechanic to fix up the mess Medley made with my dash lights. Will definitely be telling all of the women in my life NOT to visit here. It’s so sad this has become a common practice.

Medley's is the only place I've taken my car since I got it. It's a family run business, first come, first serve. The first time I went by mistake when I made an appointment at Meineke, but ended up at Medley's only to find out they don't 'do' appointments!! And I've stayed with them ever since.

If I could give less I would. Complete crooks. I dropped off my car just to be looked at and they did service without my go ahead. They apparently put in a battery then took it out again to check it because it couldn't be jumped. They quoted me 3k and told me my car was unusable then demanded payment for me to drive it off the lot when I said I didn't want the work done (mainly because i can't afford it, duh). I jumped it when i got there just fine and it was later fixed for less than $400. They charged me double what I was originally told and I got my car back in the exact same condition, which was to be expected, but for the price I was told. I only wanted it looked at. Paid 35$ for a tire plug because of "labor", ok understandable you have a local shop to pay overhead on, but why not just charge 10-12 for the plug instead of labor? What I don't understand is how now my front driver side quarter panel is pushed back and jamming my door where it won't open fully. It opens just enough for me to get into so whatever but I just don't have a clue how you manage that by just plugging a tire unless you placed the jack in the wrong spot. The reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is because the guy at the front desk is cool and gets a shout out from me.
