Mike's Service Garage

Two stars because they did get the oil change done quickly since I wouldn't have been able to make it back until after they closed, and they had a loaner car for me to use. Unfortunately they also charged me to replace my windshield wipers without asking me, doubling my bill and charging me $60 for work I could do myself. I had no choice but to pay since they had done the work but to double a bill without asking the owner's permission is not a great experience.

Dropped my car off Monday at 7am, picked it up after an alignment at 11:45am over my lunch break. The service drop-off lot was noticeably emptier, clearly these guys work fast and effective. I'll update if tire wear is irregular but it seems great so far. Update after a month: The only complaint I have is the steering wheel angle is off by about 5 degrees, which admittedly isn't a lot but it is noticeable when driving out in the country. I would give 4.5 stars, and highly recommend to anybody who isn't as fussy about their car. Complaint aside, checkout was super fast and I still got to eat lunch.

My Mazda 3 had a charging system malfunction warning appear. I took it to Mikes Service Garage and not only was Derek and team able to fix the problem the same day, but they gave me a rental to use at no additional charge. 5/5 customer service!

My daughter, who is a student at Dordt University nearby had a major issue with her vehicle. That was tough for a dad being 10 1/2 hours away, but Mikes was honest, reasonably priced, and had the repairs done ahead of schedule…thank you!

I have taken all my family’s vehicles to Mikes Service for over 20 years. I have enjoyed knowing they have interests in mind when go into and complete a repair. I have also had Dordt U kids from long distances (or their parent) ask who do you recommend? I have heard nothing but positive experiences from their experiences as well. We enjoy Mikes Service new location as well as their pick-up service. They care and explain what needs to be repaired, why, options, recommendations, and do it with great respect.
