Mill Valley Car Wash

Very, very average car wash. Noticeable streak marks on windows, spots of dirt missed on the body of the car, did not even bother to try to clean around the bumpers. Disappointing given that you’d expect you car to, at the bare minimum, be clean after service.

On the basis of a recommendation from friends, I decided to try out this car wash while I was living in Marin. I had high hopes, and I decided to buy a 4-pack of the "Mt Tam", their highest level of wash/cleaning available. Everybody was very helpful and friendly, but I was disappointed in the quality and thoroughness of the cleaning. On my first time there, my internal mats were not washed and were barely vacuumed. The exterior of my car still had lots of "schmutz" from various trees and bird droppings. On my last trip there, I decided to take matters into my own hands and grabbed a few rags: I spent maybe 15 minutes finishing the cleaning to a satisfactory level, worthy of a $45 car wash.

I'm giving this place 5 stars because it was a fast, reasonable, hand wash and interior clean. I had cross country road grime built up on my paint. I was also paranoid of having my paint scratched so no automatic brush washes for me. Although it wasn't a perfect job, I believe it was an okay value for a hand wash. There are still dirty spots that you can see, specifically on the mirrors and lower parts of the car that got less attention. Compared to the self power wash station I tried the week earlier it was much better. If your car was heavily soiled and/or the wash is extra busy maybe it wouldn't live up to your expectations. At the end of the day, the car came out much cleaner than when it came in, undamaged from brushes, and within 15-20 minutes for 40 dollars.

Worth the drive to go for an effective touch-less exterior wash and hands on light interior detailing — all for a little more than a standard auto wash. My go to!

I had an absolutely bad experience this morning. They didn't even clean my glovebox/dashboard. The leather around cup holders was still dirty. The door inside, rim, seat backs are all dirty. When I told the lady she said you need to pay more money if you need your car clean. We can't spend so much time on a car. When I told her I paid for Pacific glow, she said you need to pay $95 or you can take your car somewhere else. This is absolutely unacceptable. If I pay $45 and you don't even clean my dashboard and seats, what am I paying for? Never going back
