TL;DR don’t take their word for needed repairs. Fiancé brought her Mini here for oil change and in doing so they did their inspection. They sent her a picture of her engine mount claiming it was cracked, gave her a ridiculous quote. We ordered the part ($170) and I was going to fix it myself. It’s a 2 hour job with basic tools and they quoted 2.2k for it. I went to go start the job and figured I’d inspect the mount before starting… it is literally perfectly fine. The picture sent is just showing a raised part of the rubber, it is not a crack. I cross referenced with the OEM part I purchased and also inspected the mount when braking/giving gas under load. I highly doubt they even checked the mount under load, they just visually saw what they thought was a crack and quoted it. They sent th

I recently purchased a good quality used car at Mini and I was very satisfied with the sales process. Ayer and the staff were friendly with very little pressure to purchase additional services. The one repair that was needed on vehicle at the time of purchase was corrected a few weeks later free of charge and I was a given a Mini loaner while it was being repaired. I highly recommend the dealership!
