I had an excellent experience at Monro Auto Service and Tire Center in Bristol, CT today. I came in for an oil change and the entire team did a phenomenal job from start to finish. The service was quick, efficient, and very professional, and I left feeling confident that my car was in great hands. I especially want to recognize the manager, Thomas Halleran, who truly went above and beyond. His customer service was outstanding—he was incredibly helpful, professional, and genuinely a pleasure to work with. He took the time to make sure everything was taken care of and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. When coming back to Monro I was skeptical due to previous experiences from over a decade ago! Just recently I had dropped my SUV off to be given a diagnostic and then to fix a wheel barring on the front passenger side. Through some mix up in conversation over the phone my front rotors and brakes were only completed and when I went to leave after paying a kidney, arm and half a thigh the problem still persisted and I asked Dakota to talk to the manager, TJ. After three days my SUV sat and TJ and all the techs not only worked on my car but fixed the issue entirely!!!! I needed a quick VIN verification for an upcoming DMV appointment, and I was thrilled that Monro was able to fit me in. Shortly after my car was pulled into the bay, TJ came back with some unfortunate but honest news: the equipment needed for the verification required a technician to come out. TJ was sincere and apologetic, and he offered to take my number and call me as soon as it was up and running again. While I was initially concerned about needing to make alternate plans, I had some flexibility and decided to wait a few hours. True to their word, they called me later with the good news that everything was operational and invited me back in. They got me in and out quickly and made sure I was completely satisfied. I made an impromptu appointment on February 11, 2026 to get an emissions test done for my vehicle. the appointment was made for 5:00 p.m. The gentlemen was kind enough to call me shortly after the appointment was made by someone else to advise me to arrive no later than 10 minutes before because the emissions testing ends at exactly 5:00 pm. I had no idea as that was not explained to me when I booked the appointment. (I am not sure if it was a call center or what) When I arrive, the gentleman that was there was extremely friendly, professional and tested my vehicle within the allotted time frame. No issues. I was even provided a window sticker for my next appointment in 2028. I am very pleased with the service and would highly recommend.

I've been here a few times now and both were a great experience. I worked with the manager and a few of the mechanics and both times they were very professional and did outstanding work. I was able to get in quickly and they easily diagnosed and fixed the problems I was having. I would highly recommend this place for their great service. I will definitely be returning with all my vehicles.
