Monro Auto Service and Tire Centers

We ordered 4 tires from Tire Agent and had them sent to the Lockport Monro. (This location would receive 0 stars if it were an option) We received the tires a few days later and called to make an appointment to have them put on. The workers there weren't to bright. They managed to install the tires, but couldn't get the sensors to work properly. About 1/2 hr after the install our TPMS light came on. We returned the next morning and the same 2 young men could not get the light to go off. They said they did not have the equipment to properly program the sensors. We were assured by Tire Agent the cost of the sensor installation was included, so naturally we expect that it is able to be done by this facility. I would highly recommend Monro. I recently called to see if they had a tire in stock for my suv that had a flat tire and an attempted patch by another company. Monro was able to get my tire the quickest out of many places, not only that but the owner/manager asked to see my tire before having me spend $350 on a brand new tire. He took a look at it and said he would be able to patch it. He not only saved me over $300 but was very honest and had the tire patched quickly. I will definitely be coming back here. I appreciate them being very honest, as many places would take advantage and upsell people who don’t have a great knowledge of cars. Having a place to trust is very important and Monro is definitely the place to go.

I brought my car to Monro Auto Service for a routine oil change. The very next day, my transmission completely failed, despite having no prior transmission issues at all before this visit. I ended up having the car inspected and repaired at another shop, where I was hit with over $6,000 in transmission repairs. I can’t say exactly what went wrong during the service, but the timing is extremely concerning, and this was not an issue I had before bringing my vehicle here. I expected a simple oil change and instead was left dealing with a major mechanical failure and a massive expense. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be cautious and closely monitor their vehicle after any service here.

Being a Former manager of a Monro, I was very discouraged. My appointment was at 10 o’clock to get one tire swapped over when I walked in. They claimed they had the recognition of the appointment and claimed I would have to leave it there all day for a one tire swap. after stating I was a former manager of a Monro and question about the performance there and then was told we could bring your truck in So I handed over my keys and sat down after about an hour. My truck was finally brought in for it’s one tire swap which thing about 45 minutes to complete. I was charged 35.99 For a mountain balance In my tire, Had never been balanced And being this was an emergency because I was over 150 miles away from home when this happened I then got on the interstate and my Truck Shook horribly all the w

They were excellent getting me in same day on a Saturday. The service on my car specifically was great. The staff was less than efficient at check in; the lobby is very outdated and filthy.
