The evening of December 23 I hit a pothole which left me with a flat tire. My run flats did their job and got me home that night. I started to call the dealership and other shops to see if anyone could help me get it fixed. The earliest anyone could promise was Dec 25. Early on Christmas Eve, I figured I’d try calling a few more places. Monro was the first place I called, a little before 8 am. Tony said he’d have to order the tire and it would take a few hours to get it but he’d have me on my way later that day. He and his team gave me a detailed estimate when I got there via AAA to drop my car off. They got it fixed earlier than the time estimate they gave me. I called and made an appointment to have four tires mounted and balanced. I was quoted a price of $34.99 per wheel over the phone. When I arrived at the shop I was told it would be over $60 a wheel because of the size. When I was making the appointment I provided the make and model of the car as well as this tire size and still received a quote of $34.99 per wheel. The gentleman who met me at the counter did not offer to honor the price I was given over the phone so I left.
