DO NOT GO HERE. Maybe you will get lucky and have a decent service done. Doubtful though. We received our used Rivian from a dealer, site unseen (have done this with a dozen cars). After a day of having it we knew it needed an alignment as it pulled to the right and balancing of wheels as the entire car would shake around 65-75 mph. Brought it into Monro four days after receiving the vehicle. Charged us $225 and the alignment is literally the same and the vehicle still shakes at 75mph. Not 65mph, so I guess something was done correctly? On top of that, they stated they did vin verification and when my wife got there they stated they don’t. BEWARE OF GUILFORD LOCATION ! If I could give this establishment a zero I would. I went there recently for a flat tire because I had a small nail in my tire. I was told by one of the employees that he couldn’t patch it because the tire had dry rot and my tires were very old. Little did he know that my tires are fairly new and I am not blind or stupid and I could see that the tires were not cracked and didn’t have any dry rot. He thought perhaps because I was a woman I was stupid. He refused to help me and patch my tire. His end game was to sell me new tires. So I asked if they could please put air in my tire , which they did and I went to Town Fair Tire and told them what Monroe said to me about my tire and they confirmed that my tire didn't have to be replaced and there is NO

Ray at Monroe Tire did an excellent job to find the exact replacement tire in less than a day had it changed and I was on my way. Excellent service.

I had an appointment for an oil change and was told my car would be ready in an hour; it wasn’t m. I was told it would be ready in another 30 minutes “we only have two mechanics”. I returned 30 minutes later and it still wasn’t ready. The oil change is advertised for $100 and was charged $144.68. When I questioned the final bill amount, I was told my vehicle needed an extra quart of oil. They did not inform me or get permission for the additional fee. The oil change included tire rotation and brake inspection but didn’t give me any information regarding tire or break wear. Poor service all around. Wouldn’t recommend them.

I normally don’t write reviews, but I really appreciate the staff at this location for helping me out. I had an oil change done at the Hamden Monro roughly a month ago, and within a month, my indicators were already showing that I needed more oil and coolant. I don’t know if they didn’t do the oil change at all or if they did it incorrectly, but I needed it fixed. I came in on a Sunday afternoon with no appointment, a flat tire, and the above issues. The staff here fixed the problems quickly and changed the flat for no charge. Unfortunately, due to my experience at the Hamden Monro, I will never visit a Monro again, but the staff here deserves the 4 stars.
