Mon's Auto Clinic

I am so ecstatic with this shop. It's so hard to find honest mechanic. A lot of mechanics right now, would rather buy your car off you than do the work. It feels predatory. Not here! 🙌🏾 Anyways, after reading all the rave reviews, I decided to take a chance and get a scraping sound that my car was making checked out. It was a busy Friday (1pm) and the lead came out quickly, explained that I'd need to drop off my car and they'd call me in a couple hours to let me know what was going on. I got a call not 30 minutes later and they began work. The shop was full, yet my car was fixed by 4pm....on a Friday y'all. My father had an issue with his car and tried two mechanics before trying out Mon's Auto Clinic and had no success. He bought his car to Mon's Auto Clinic and they assessed his car needed a new engine computer. It indeed fixed the problem and for almost two years anytime my father or I have car troubles we've brought our cars here. I get my oil changes done here too as long as I bring my own oil and filter. Glad to see they are doing so well. They are honest, experienced, and able to explain what's wrong in an easily digestible manner. If they ever move to a different location or bigger shop I won't be surprised! But hopefully not too far because I live close to the shop :)

I would not recommend this mechanic shop. I brought my car in for check engine light diagnosing and to fix the problem. My car was there for over a week and was told the problem had been resolved and it was ready for me to take home. I realized that they taped over the dashboard with black electrical tape to hide the check engine light and returned to confront them about it. Their response was, “It must’ve been placed by the other guy who worked on it.” I would’ve much rather been told that they could not find the problem or that they didn’t want to do the job. I ended up getting a refund for the services I paid for, but that does not make up for the time/money I spent on a rental car while I thought they were fixing my car.

The owner and son are great people, I went for 2 things and they took a quick look around and let me know about another small issue and they took care of that as well. I did not feel robbed like I usually do when I visit other mechanic shops. I never do reviews but I knew I had to for this business because of how good and honest these people were. 10/10 would recommend.

The mechanics on this side of town refused to work on my 1984 GMC but Mon’s excepted the challenge honest prices and good mechanics so far they have done my valve stem seals on all cylinders and replaced the fuel tank I appreciate you guys and I’ll be back
