Came across this Mountain Man Auto looking for a shop to help with new tires on my boat trailer. Steve was very responsive and helpful and provided a very reasonable quote for parts and labor. Once work was approved he had the new tires ordered and installed for me the same day after waiting for me to drive all the way from the bay area. Very knowledgeable and experienced on any other repairs as well. Nice to find honest, hard working local shops and help spread the word. Thanks again.

Steve is a skilled mechanic and a great guy too! He brought my dead 1998 Mustang back to life after it sat outside in my driveway for 4 years. Rabbits & rodents had destroyed the wiring. Now I’m enjoying cruising along the backroads again! He’s truly a miracle worker!

I called to have them check a rattle on my truck and find out why it felt like my steering was going out occasionally Steve gave me a bid on what he thought it was I took his word and paid him almost $1,000 to do the work and when I got my truck back it still rattles just as bad and the steering is even worse. Now he's blaming me and anybody out who's worked on my truck and denying any responsibility. My advice is to find somebody else to work on your vehicle because this guy is not honest. So now I've reported them to California bureau of automotive repair add to the better Business bureau and I will be filing a small claims lawsuit

If I could give Steve 10 stars, I would I won’t take my car to anybody but him I drive for a living. He keeps me on the road so I can support my family. He’s done my brakes, front and back multiple times rebuilt my cooling system when my car was overheating last August. When my wheel hub broke, he drove to Sacramento to find the part. I recently bought a car from an old friend in the Bay Area, it overheated on The way home near Dollar General in Don Pedro, California after some light work, he diagnosed with a blown head gasket Because of him I was refunded half my money for the car and the seller paid for the repair of the head gasket. I was stranded in a campground near Yosemite. My RV had no power and I couldn't bring in the slide. Although Mountain Man is an auto guy, he's knowledgeable in Rv workings as well. He was the only person willing to come that far out, even after a long days work. He was able to get my power working and the slide pulled in. Very reasonable price and I'm so grateful for his willingness to help!
