We were travelling on route 62 when a passing car warned us we had blown one of the four back tires on our RV. Nearest city was Dell City 30 mins away, so we headed there and went to the local NAPA auto parts. We got great service and our blown tire was replaced with our spare.
We were low on gas. The other gas station only takes MasterCard, which we didn't have. Even though Napa didn't have any gas to sell, the store owner kindly came with us to the other gas station to use her MasterCard for us and another gentleman riding a motorcycle. She didn't accept any tip or fee. She went out of her way to make sure we weren't stranded. So kind and generous!! God bless!!
The greatest people. I was low on fuel and she didn't have any at her store and the other facility only takes MasterCard. The owner closed up her business to take me to the other location and wouldn't even accept a service fee.
Great prices for gas considering your location and very friendly service. The super nice lady working the days we were there was helpful and informative since we were just visiting. Added bonus, you get to use old school gas pumps with the spinning dials that I haven't used since I worked at a gas station in the late 80's.
The NAPA gas and auto parts store in Dell City Texas is as capable and friendly a place as you'll ever find. That's important because if you travel between Carlsbad, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas, it is the ONLY full- service gas station in that 163 mile stretch. They will fix a flat, change oil update stickers, provide parts and great service and free candy. Heck of a country deal!
