National Car Rental

when I arrived at the airport the vehicle i requested was not there. After contacting the local store they advised they could not find the keys to my rental and would bring it over shortly. After 15 mins they stated that the car was on the way but needed fuel first. Another 15 mins a smaller suv showed up and they said the original was returned with the airbag deployed and they had no full size suv availible. We were stuck packing all our stuff into a small suv. Completely horrible experience!

Manager refused to wait 10 minutes past closing for my flight to arrive. This location makes its own rules as corporate policy is to wait up to 2 hours after closing

I had my reservation booked at this location two days ahead. They asked all my details name and my card details and sent me confirmation number reserving my vehicle. When i went to the location this morning to pick up the vehicle. There wasn’t any staff at this place, had to call and waited 20 mins and then he comes up and says my credit card isn’t valid, i can’t pick up the car. He is not even trying to give any alternatives and not helpful in anyway. Had lots of hope as my friend recommended you. Never gonna come back. Never visit them if you want to save your time.

Cheapest route is to reserve right through their National web site. Enterprise/National/Alamo are the same BTW. It's also NO worries to drop off "after hours." They have a key drop box. I almost didn't rent because of this, but don't let it scare you away. Their best deals are when they do not have to pay "Peter, Paul, and Mary" for the reference, and go directly through their website. Silky smooth, deplaned went upstairs to the National Counter and I believe her name was Melissa helped me. She would remember as I was the guy with the Cadillac logo polo on. :) I was at the counter less than 5 mins. She saw (later figured that out-LOL) that I'm into Cadillac by my shirt! I was shocked at the time, like yeah I just did just reserve the mid size but sweet if a caddy is available! Thank you!

A long weekend surge stopped us from getting the car which we desired. But the people at LGA National rental location made sure we were happy and heard of our issues.
