I purchased a 2016 BMW 528xi on 06/27/2024. It had 105, 191 odometer miles. I put a $6,000.00 cash down payment and financed $8,616.60 with Santander Consumer USA. I took it to Sam Swope BMW for a recall issue that needed to be replaced on 10/04/2024. The BMW service department said I needed over$15,000.00 worth of repairs. I was stunned. I told Neil Huffman what Sam Swope BMW told me. They ignored me. I had to replace the fuel pump on 01/06/2026. It cost me $1,551.42 at Springdale Automotive Service. While replacing my fuel pump, they discovered my timing chain has stretched and that it needs to be replaced. To replace the timing chain is going to cost over $7000.00. My mechanic also told me this 2016 BMW 528xi has the N20 engine that has a history of timing chain failures. I called the

Showed up on the lot to check out a 19 Silverado 1500 Yesterday. I am so glad my son is a master tech, as we drove the truck and scanned the vehicle. We found it has transmission codes, and the brake system had been disabled through the dash to hide all sorts of brake issues. These are typical tactics by used car dealers. They have these vehicles scanned and looked over by their techs before putting them on the lot, so they clearly knew this truck had serious problems and are pushing it to be a great vehicle. Beware.
