From my first experience with Nevada County Auto Repair 6 months ago to again just recently, I am convinced that this business and the people that own and service us are simply the best. They are knowledgable, professional, courteous and honest---- always!

I'm not sure why my second visit to this shop went so wrong...? Months before came in and had a front brake job that went smooth and no issues. Brought my car this time for a P0171 code. It took 5 days as they mentioned they were perplexed during the process. They replaced the 02 sensor (bank 1) which turned out was not the issue, so then replaced the MAF sensor. Was told the code finally cleared and it was $996 when picking up vehicle. Started to leave shop with gas low level light on, and gauge below E... Went back into shop to ask for some spare gas to at least get me to the nearest gas station (didn't want to stall in an intersection). Nor is it good on the fuel pump to run dry. Was told by Tod and (Kim?) that they wouldn't do that, and "we don't have a gas can" to even let you use...

Great service and very knowledgeable staff and mechanics. I've had my truck at 3 other shops none of which actually fixed the issue with a sensor(it wasn't the sensor it was the connector). They actually listened to me on my concerns of it being a wiring issue and fixed the problem in a very quick professional manner. They also did a great job on a couple other issues my truck had. Thank you again to the whole crew there.

Great staff and very professional. Never any surprises with these folks. Just good old fashioned, honest people
