My car broke down on a business trip, stranding me in Lanesborough, five hours from home. I sat in Bob's Country Kitchen talking to the wait staff trying to figure out were I could take the car to be fixed, and probably called five different places. Val at North End Auto was the ONLY ONE who wanted to help. I had the car dropped off in the morning and by mid-afternoon it was ready with a new, high-quality starter. I absolutely love this place. Val is the PERFECT EXAMPLE of a neighborhood mechanic WORTH HIS WEIGHT IN GOLD. Honest, hard working, careful, thorough and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Went there for the first time today. Val is a great guy and he does good work. He doesn't take you for a ride or hustle you. He's straight to the point communicative and reasonably priced. I will be bringing my vehicle to him from now on for all future repairs and service needs!
