After another mechanic quoted me $1500 for a new A/C compressor, I took it to Breno. He diagnosed a problem with the power supply. I didn’t need a new compressor, just an inexpensive fuse and recharging the coolant, saving me a lot of money. Not only that, but he didn’t treat me as if I didn’t know anything about mechanics, and explained everything clearly and concisely. He is my new mechanic from now on. Sayonara to the old one!

Steve is both a really nice guy and a great automotive technician. Just bought an older '94 Ford Ranger, and it's old and was a decent deal. It was idling really rough, check engine light came on periodically, and transmission was shifting poorly. Steve's suggestion was let's get it running right and we'll figure out the rest. Later on in the same day, he has fixed two vacuum leaks, flushed transmission and changed the air filter. He had the running condition fixed for $90......I told him to proceed with the transmission and air filter. Come 5 o'clock, I had a completely different car for $350 including tax. Honest & reliable service. Recommend highly

Like doctors, because of most of us are ignorant of the major portions of medicine and mechanics, it's hard to find a mechanic you can trust. But I have complete faith in everyone at Northgate Auto. They are honest and have told me at least once that "my car is not worth fixing, don't waste your money." And I truly appreciate that. I also know that their repairs are done well, with knowledgeable expertise and fair pricing. I won't take my car anywhere else.
