I've heard it said before that 'any mechanic can change parts, what makes a good mechanic is diagnostics'. Rob at Octane Garage is the best of the best when it comes to diagnostics. I've been to several garages with an EVAP issue for three months and no one could find the problem but Rob found the issue on the very first day and also found an underlying issue with something that would cause me a problem down the road. Strongly recommended. Best garage in central New Jersey. You won't be sorry for bringing your car here.

I think I just experienced the worst customer service ever. As a first time caller, I asked "is this the auto shop?" to make sure I had the right number. The person responded, and I couldn't quite hear what he said, so I repeated. Then he said something that sounded rude, something along the lines of you shouldnt call a business and ask to talk to the owner (and then hung up!). I didn't, I just asked if it was the auto shop because I need car service. I tried calling back a couple of times but it looked like they were just ending the calls. I am still very confused at how a place with a 4.9 / 5 rating would act this way, and I rarely if ever do reviews but had to for this.

Best shop around, they do everything and reliably. As someone who is mechanical I usually have a hard time bringing my vehicles to a shop, but my trust in Rob and his mechanical abilities changed all that. He's very reasonably priced, and I trust his work.

Octane Garage Rob and Steve are the best in what they do when it comes to providing full service and maintenance on your vehicle they are the best I highly recommend them we have a fleet of vehicles that they do service on them they don't disappoint and we also take our own personal vehicles as well he might be on the phone talking to another client he always return your calls thank you guys for you're service Mechanics like you guys are hard to find. Believe me, thank you, Rob and Steve Keep up the good work 👏

Update: Rob did an excellent job on our Jeep a few years ago, so when our new Jeep ran into problems, we sought him out again. Rob's work is excellent: clean and it works well. Prices were reasonable, and, as importantly, Rob explained exactly why and what he was doing. Great shop: Thanks Rob Original post: Friendly, professional service.
