O'Daniel Honda Service

Paid for complete brake flush service, but it was not performed. When I came back the service agent said it was flushed, his manger saw it, and there are cameras everywhere. I told him that next to new brake fluid it does not look as if it has been flushed. The service agent said there is always residue. I am familiar with residue, but this seemed excessive for a system that was just flushed. The service agent disagreed and refused a refund. I will not return for service and do not recommend this location. Otherwise service rendered which were done well were oil change and fluid top up. I got a letter for a recall and went in because my van was indeed having the issues spoken of in the letter. The first time I went in the guy acted really defensive and said there was no evidence my vehicle was having the issue. I explained the things my van would do that are connected to the issue. He said to just pop in if they happen. So I left and came back as soon as it happened. The second guy said “yeah, I can tell and the damage is pretty bad! ”. Not sure how the first guy didn’t see it. My van was there for almost a month because the recall was something that required part of the engine to be rebuilt. I have mechanics close to me separate from these guys that explained everything. I’d recommend elsewhere - mediocre service & deceptive pricing. They advertise an $89 oil service special online. What they don’t tell you is that they’ll add in a $30 “Shop Material” charge & tax, so that $89 oil change will cost minimum $125 + whatever they’ll try to upsell you on. The Process: You’ll be greeted with a half-hearted welcome upon arrival. Their waiting area is nice, with outlets, coffee, and water. Service tends to be slow (an hour for an oil change) and they’ll always find a few extra things you’ll need done. Most are overpriced (charging to remove a nail from a tire - something Discount Tire will do for free). Recent service to bring car in for starter issues. Mark in customer service was an amazing help. He took care of the problem, listened and genually cared about what we said. ALSO because it was diagnosed wrong the first time they waived the fee for deductible.

I made an appointment almost a month in advance to have a sound checked out in my car. The sound worsened so I had to get it fixed at a local mechanic prior to my appointment. The mechanic told me I had another issue that should be covered by my warranty and that I should take it to my dealer. Since I already had the appointment at O'Daniel which so many people told me was the best Honda Dealership service department in town I decided to keep that appointment to get this new issue checked out. I arrive at the scheduled time of my appointment and Mark the person assigned to me said the tech may not be in till 9am as that was my appointment time. Which I told him was incorrect and that I received a reminder the day before stating 7am. He said this happens sometimes with the computers. I
