Old Volks Haus

Nick is a magician and did an excellent job replacing the engine in my 1985 Vanagon Camper. Nick kept my informed throughout the process. I’d recommend Old Volks Haus to anyone with a classic VW.

Great team with endless knowledge on all that ailed us: 67 beetle that stalled at every stop, installed back and rear windows after our attempt to install headliner. Nick adjusted the carburetor and pointed out our flaws in headliner (choose different material) and window install (upside down seals). Knowledgeable, friendly, quick turn and high quality workmanship. Great, fair pricing. A gem in RI.

What can I say??? The most knowledgeable VW guy I've ever come across? Also maybe the nicest. Nick spent so much time with me and went, way...I mean WAY out of his way to help me out. This is where you need to be. He literally got my vintage VW engine going while it was in the back of my pickup truck...yes running...blowing exhaust. Prior he set the valves and small adjustments on timing. Then, after starting tweaked the timing and tuned my carb. Talk about the comfort level I feel being able to install my engine, in my '62 Beetle Ragtop, knowing it is completely ready to go. So talented and nice. 10 STARS!!!

Nick and Jose are first class. They're the VW (and for me, TDI) doctors. They're honest, and the guys you want in your corner when it comes to these cars. At least when it came to my TDI, if it happens, Nick's seen it, and clearly is a passionate enthusiast himself. If you ever feel you can only trust your own hands working on your car, Nick is ready to prove you wrong.

Nick is incredibly knowledgeable about VWs and German vehicles, and an all around good person. He was so helpful in explaining repairs and maintenance on my car. After a minor accident, the shop was able to meet with me in person that same night and had a quote for repairs the next day. I was kept up-to-date with updates and photos and had my car back quickly. This shop is highly recommended!
